This weekend I went to an anime convention, and I noticed a new trend there I hadn’t seen before. Apparently it is “cool” to go around wearing a dead foxes tail on your butt or at your side…
It makes me angry when people who supposedly love foxes want to dress up as one, yet in doing so they go out and buy a fox tail. This would be fine with me if it was made out of synthetic fur materials, but they aren’t. These people choose to buy a tail cut off of their supposed favorite animal, so they can pretend to be one…. Where is the logic in that?
It may seem harmless to buy these tails, and they can be marketed as "extra" pieces the coat
makers don't use so they are cheap enough to buy. However, in purchasing these “extras” it only encourages these coat makers to kill more animals so people can walk around in their real fur coats or have some unfortunate animal’s tail as a trinket for them to wear around.
It is cruel, wasteful, and stupid for them to not make the connection that they are stealing this from a living creature, If however they do make the connection and simply don’t care, then that is just unfortunate that they are so full of themselves and so selfish that they no longer care about the life of other living creatures.
